Michael Porter Johnson

Michael Porter Johnson, 68, passed away March 13, 2023 in Washington Terrace, UT.  He was born January 17, 1955 to Mervin Lamb Johnson and Ivalue Porter in Preston, ID. 

Michael worked as a custodian, graduated from Ben Lomond High School the class of 1973 and attended Stevens Henegar College.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a stake mission.  Michael loved the scriptures.  He married Ann Brown on March 7, 1997 in the Ogden LDS Temple.

He enjoyed sports both watching and going with Justin to see games.  He helped coach some of Justin’s athletic games.  He loved bowling and has bowled a 300-score game.

Michael is survived by his wife Ann; children Jessica and Justin; sisters Sharilyn (Kirk) Hennefer, Valerie Johnson and Karilee Nelson; also 2 nieces and many cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Kevin Johnson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 2023, 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 9:40 – 10:40 at the Riverdale 7th Ward, 1056 W. 4400 S., Riverdale, UT and a viewing Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.  Interment will follow services at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT.
