Michael John Ricketts

Michael Ricketts, 45, passed away Saturday April 30, 2022 in his home surrounded by loved ones.

Michael was born December 20,1976 to Gary and Peggy Ricketts. He was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. He married his first love Stephanie Martin with whom he had two beautiful children, Daughter Eryn Ricketts. and Son Gavin Ricketts.

Michael loved playing, watching, and analyzing sports. He had a deep passion for music and often used it to express what he was feeling. He loved watching movies and stand-up comedy.

Michael was most proud of his role as a father.  He was most known for being the life of the party, and always there to make people laugh. He was someone his family and friends could call on anytime day or night and know he would be there to listen no matter what, always giving the hard advice that most didn't want to hear. Michael was a devoted, son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his mother Peggy Ricketts; sister Teri Rynes; brothers David Sevenikar, Clint Ricketts (Andrea), Gary Ricketts (Joann); Brett Ricketts; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by father Gary Ricketts and two brothers Shain and Dean Ricketts.

His family will be holding a celebration of life Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at the home of Clint and Andrea, 5071 S. 550 W. Washington Terrace, Utah 84405.  His wish was for this to be informal, so come as you are to honor Michael and show support for his family.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to help cover expenses.
