Mildred Ruth (James) Lee

Mildred Ruth James Lee, age 87 of Sunset, Utah left this life on September 17, 2022 due to natural causes to join her parents, husband Richard “Dick” Lee and infant twin granddaughters.

She was born in Glendale, CA on July 27, 1935 to John W. and Ruth Thompson James.

She grew-up in Burbank, CA with her four siblings. She graduated from Burbank High School in 1953 and from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT in 1957.

Mildred taught school in CA for two years, served a mission for two years in Germany for her Church and then taught two more years in CA. She came back to UT in 1963 to teach in Weber County which she did for six years. She married Richard Lee (Dick) on November 22, 1969 in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She raised her husband's two children, Brian and Marti, and had one daughter, Nancy. She has six grandchildren: Crystal, Hunter, Sieana,  Roslyn, Todd and Scott.

She was dedicated to her family, friends and Church assignments, with teaching as her favorite. One of the highlights of her life was the special relationship she had with her friends at Enable Industries where she had worked for seven years. She also served a mission for her Church with her husband in Canada.

Mildred is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, three brothers in UT: Morris of Salt Lake City, Richard of Alpine, and Joe of Layton.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Kathleen Hansen of Hesperia, CA and twin infant granddaughters.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Sunset 3rd Ward chapel, 338 W 1800 N, Sunset, UT. A viewing will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W Roy, UT and 9:00-9:45 AM at the church prior to services.
