Obituary

BRIGHAM CITY Nathan Terry Chappell, 72, was released from his pain and suffering from Alzheimer's on December 10, 2011 while in the arms of his loving wife. He was born March 22, 1939 to Fern and W. LaVon Chappell in Lyman, Utah, the sixth child of seven and the last son born to their family. On August 25, 1961 he married his sweetheart, Eva Wilene Moore and in June 2001 was sealed to her for time and eternity in the Bountiful Temple.
Shortly after their marriage and the birth of their first two children, Terry and Eva settled into Brigham City, Utah and made it their home. They began working at the Intermountain Indian School and had three more children, as well as becoming the "parents" to many of the students offering them love, friendship and support. Terry spent much of his time and various careers helping and supporting the youth in the community. He truly loved working with the young people. Terry and Eva served a mission at the Intermountain Indian Ward and was currently serving at the Pioneer Care Center branch when his illness kept him at home. Terry was a proud member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers.
Approximately 6 years ago Terry was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Since then the family spent their time with each other and enjoying the time they had left together. At the time of his passing, Terry was at home being cared for by his devoted wife, loving children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Eva; children; Debbie (Jeff) Hammer, Mantua; Nathan Chappell, Brigham City; Robin (Todd) Troxell, Perry; Tonya (Wayne) Martinez and Brandon (Laura) Chappell; Brigham City, 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a special daughter Evelyn Fabela and her family as well as many "adopted" children. His brothers; Craig, Sheldon (Irene) and Dick (Myrna) and his sisters; Flora and Neva (Gerald).
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, brother-in-law, two sisters in-law, and his father and mother in-law.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Vicki, Collette, Marg, Clay, and Dan for their loving care of Terry during the last stages of his illness.
