Nola Beus (Johnston) Nagel

Nola Beus Johnston Nagel was born April 19th 1930 in Ogden at the old McKay-Dee Memorial Hospital to Henry Pinney Johnston and Alta Clarinda Beus Johnston.

She was the 4th child born to them. Her siblings were Ezra, Ruth, Lynne, and Beverly. Ezra passed away before she was born at the age of 3.

Nola lived in Hooper, Utah growing up and loved it from the very beginning. She remembers having fun, kind, and happy neighbors and friends. One of her choice friends was Sherma. She was also especially close to her brother Lynne who was not only a brother but a close friend to her.

She eventually graduated from Hooper 10th grade from the old school and later graduated from Roy High School with the class of '48. She attended Weber College and graduated from there with a two year degree. She then was called on an LDS two year mission to Denmark. After which she returned home to attend BYU, but never graduated from there. Instead she got married to Aage Voss Nagel who she loved very much. Together they had five kids. Roxanne, Kyle, Rochelle, Guinevere, and Cornell. Her kids got married and brought her beautiful grandchildren. Megan, Brailee, Garik, Riker, Jaxon, Nichole, Kassie, and Chania.

Nola was preceded in death by her husband Aage, her daughter Rochelle, and her grandchild Megan. Still she lived on to see the birth of some of her great grandchildren. Hudson being the first, after which was followed by Diane, Hazel, and Emma who are identical triplets and finally Delilah. She pushed on trying to live to see the birth of her 6th grandchild but passed away shortly before.

She died on her birthday April 19th 2024 at the age of 94.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Hooper Cemetery. A gathering will start at 11:00 AM with services 12:00 PM.
