Noreen Olpin Randall, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 20, 1941, to Lawrence Dee and Cynthia Larsen Olpin in Ogden, Utah.
Noreen married Alfred “Fred” Raymond Randall on December 22, 1965, in the Logan LDS Temple.
She graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Brigham Young University in home economics. She taught Home Economics and English at Springville Junior High School before moving to Brigham City. Upon arriving in Brigham City, Noreen and Fred started their family. They had six children. Noreen was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her hobbies included: reading, family history, sewing and especially cross-stitching. She sewed two of her daughters’ wedding dresses, cross-stitched Christmas stockings for every one of her children and their family members, and willingly shared her talents with others.
Noreen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served three missions, one in the North East British Mission in her youth and two with her husband in the Chicago South Mission and at the Brigham City Employment Center. She loved her time working at the temple. She served in the Ogden Temple for seven months, then in the Brigham City Temple for eight years. She faithfully served in many callings including: Stake and Ward Primary President, Ward Young Women President, Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency and Gospel Doctrine Teacher.
Survived by her husband Fred, children A. Brian Randall, Karen (Gregg) Weight, Lisa (Jeff) Scott, Becky (Hutch) Daniels, Denise (Wayne) Anderson and Cindy (Ryan) Bentley, 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother Glen (Joy) Olpin and sister-in-law Esther Olpin.
Preceded in death by her parents and her brother L. Don Olpin.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 16th Ward Chapel, 145 West 500 South, Brigham City, Utah.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah and on Friday prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
