Pamela Kerby Obituary

Pam Kerby passed away peacefully surrounded by many family members on December 20, 2022.

Pam was born June 17, 1945 to C. Marion and Viva Leavitt Kerby. She was raised in Springville, Utah.

Pam learned from her family to be frugal and give to those in need. She attended Springville schools
and received two degrees from BYU.

Pam went on a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mission to the New England states under the
Direction of Boyd K. Packer.

After her mission she became a nurse and had some very spiritual experiences working at the Old
Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City on the oncology floor. Later she did outreach programs for
the hospital throughout the state in elementary schools. She was always known as Nurse Pam.

Health problems changed her career from nursing to education. She loved her students and taught in
both special education and elementary education. She always loved children and was so glad that she
could share fun things with her nieces and nephews.

Through many miracles, she was able to adopt, even as a single person, two great children she had as
foster children. She always said that she could never take parenthood for granted. Her two blessed
children have been the joy of her life, and Pam always tried her best to give them all the love and
opportunities she could.

Pam loved music and has always enjoyed it, especially teaching children new songs in Primary at church.

Pam taught school in Arizona and parts of Utah. She retired after 32 years of teaching.

Pam is a mother to Jefferson Kerby and Marilee Kerby (Adam) Curtis. She was a wonderful grandma to
her two sweet granddaughters Hannah and Riley.

Pam was proceeded in death by her sister Maralyn (Ted) Crandall. Pam is survived by her brother
Charles (Marna) Kerby and all her nieces and nephews.

Pam has said that she is grateful for a full life filled with the gospel, family, good friends and the love of
the Savior.
