Parleen Kay (Edwards) Autry

Parleen Kay Edwards Autry passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on April 28th 2022 in Ogden UT. Parleen was born August 29th 1953 in Provo UT to Drew and Irene Edwards, she was the 3rd of 10 children.

Parleen grew up and attended school in Pleasant Grove UT.  She met the love of her life Jimmie Autry and was married on April 23 1970 in Lindon UT. They resided in Tacoma, Washington while Jimmie was stationed in the Army. They later moved back to Utah and made their home in Ogden in 1978.

She worked as a seamstress at Jolene's in Provo and a supervisor at Converges in Ogden. Parleen's passion was crafting. Ceramics, wood painting, scrapbooking, and her love of quilting. She had a keen sense for all things fabric.

Parleen devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother and stuck through it all with grace and compassion. Parleen was a member of The Church of Latter-day Saints and a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Parleen is preceded in death by her Husband Jimmie Lee Autry, daughter Amanda and parents Drew and Irene Edwards, 4 siblings Lorna, Cindy, Si and Bennett. 

Parleen is survived by her children Giniva (Paul), Jamie (Mike), Jessica and Jim Ryan, 15 grandchildren -  Dallis, Ariel, Austin, Courtney, KaRiee, Ammon, Crystal, Mark, Courtney Shalynn(Daniel), Nick, Hunter, Paige, Megan, Aliyah, Zack, Ryken, Kolten, Alexis; 16 great grandchildren -  Kyla, Noxlee, Emery, Adrianna, Andrew, Daevin, Lilly, Chasz, Daisy, Korra, Jordon, Pearl, Henaci, Daniel III, Jackson, Brandler and many others that called her Granny and Sassy.

Also survived by her siblings and their spouses Vee (Ruanda) Edwards of West Jordan, Ronda (Allen V.) Amacher of Pl. Grove, Rachel Gordon of Provo, Philip (Sheila) Edwards of Lehi, ZoeAnn (Todd) Holton of Kamas

Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon, May 7, 2022 at the Alpine Cemetery, 400 Grove Dr., Alpine UT 84004. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6th at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84404.
