Rhea Jeppsen Obituary

Rhea Vowles Jeppsen passed away peacefully at home with her family on May 23, 2023. Rhea was born on March 3, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Edna Brown Morrow and Ned Martell Vowles. After graduating from Bountiful High School Rhea attended Brigham Young University where she met her first husband Richard Dean Colgrove. They divorced and Rhea married Kerry Gail Farnsworth. They divorced and she met her eternal companion, Ralph Neil Jeppsen.  Rhea and Neil were married on August 4, 2000, and were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple on August 4, 2001.

Rhea was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings including Primary President, Relief Society President, teacher in primary, young women and Sunday school, and served a mission with her husband Neil at the Bishops Storehouse in Brigham City.

As a single mother Rhea worked most of her life to help support her family. She worked as an administrative assistant and assistant to the President and CEO at several companies including Franklin Covey Inc, and The Office of the First Presidency.

Rhea enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, reading and traveling with her husband Neil. She also loved family history work, spending hundreds of hours extracting and working on her own personal family history.

Rhea is survived by her children: Steven (Amy) West Valley; Andrew (Ellen) Piedmont, OK; and Stepchildren: Yvonne Hodson, Brigham City; Kirk (Karla) Jeppsen, Brigham City; Jason (Diana) Jeppsen, Round Mountain, NV; Chris (Sylvia) Jeppsen, Mantua; Katie (Doug) Bartlett, Plymouth, MA; 33 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings: Terry (Tina) Vowles, Susan (Gary) Smith, Dennis Vowles, Annette (Barry) Hunt, and Kenneth (Janet) Vowles.

Rhea was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil Jeppsen; and brother, Charles Martell Vowles.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at the Brigham City 25th Ward, 865 South 300 West, Brigham City, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-10:30a.m. Interment will follow in the Mantua Cemetery, Mantua, UT.
