Richard Everett Griffin

Richard Everett Griffin, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1934 to William Everett Griffin and Bessie Dale Alvord in Billings, MT.

He attended West High School in Salt Lake City, UT.

Richard married the love of his life, Shirley Marie Hall, on August 28, 1954 in Elko, NV. They were the first couple sealed in the Brigham City Temple on September 25, 2012. Sadly, Shirley passed away about a month later on October 16, 2012. They were married for 58 wonderful years.

He worked in Mobile Home Sales alongside his wife and also worked at Millionaires Duck Club.

Richard enjoyed coin collecting, golf, fly fishing, and waterfowl hunting. He loved being outdoors, camping in Island Park, ID.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Alcoholics Anonymous and Maple Springs.

He is survived by his sons: Rick Griffin (Rachel), Perry Griffin (Teresa), and Craig Griffin (Heather); 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. 

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Marie Hall Griffin; son: Russell Lynn Griffin; and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, UT. A Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
