Richard Price (Dick) Jones

PLEASANT VIEW – Wednesday, February 12, 2003, Richard Price (Dick) Jones (Pa Dick) passed away peacefully in his home. He was born October 26th, 1922 in Malad, Idaho. He was the only son of Harvey Lusk and Catherine Price Jones, having joined the family of all girls. He attended the Malad City Schools. He spent many hours with his father on the farm. He loved horses and was a member of the Malad Valley Posse, and the Weber County Posse.

He served in the 16th armored division, under General George Patton during World War II. He married Faye in October 1950. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple November 28, 1951. He served in many church positions including scoutmaster, supervisor of two church farms, home teacher, and secretary of the High Priest group for 23 years. He and Faye were called to do sealing work in the Ogden Temple.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Mae Walker, Dorthea Morgan, and Rudy Chapman. He is survived by his wife; daughters Karen (Val) Dahl, and Janeal (Corey) Dalton; son Brent (Jan) Jones; grandchildren Becky (Tom) Phelps, Lisa (Mark) Gardner, Jennifer, Shawna, and Kevin Dahl, Tara Dalton, Maurie (Bruce) Pomeray, Leslie (Dan) Scheer, Justin (Shauna) Dalton, Lori (Marc) Jensen, Chad (Theresa) Jones, Sue (Corey) Park, and Jake Jones; and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Lona Anderson of Sandy, UT; and Wanda Edwards of Malad, ID.
