Rodney "Rod" Adams Obituary

Rodney (Rod) Arthur Adams, born on January 31, 1963, in Ogden, Utah to the late Ray and Erma Adams. He leaves behind his three children: Brandon, Ashley, and Megan; five grandchildren: Morgan, Hunter, Wyatt, Brooklynn, and Journee; as well as his two siblings, Raeleen Carmack, and Russell Adams.

Rod was a truck driver for Smith’s for many years and even owned his own dump truck business called Rod’s Trucking. After starting his company he began his auto mechanic career over at Hatches Auto and later retired from Geneva Rock. Rod was full of jokes and sarcasm. He always knew exactly what to say to get a good laugh out of everyone he came into contact with. He had a love for all animals and took pride in caring for each one of them dearly. His greatest joys in life was his family and his farm. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, we all knew he meant it… whether it was good or bad. But as he would always say, let’s “GIT R DONE”!! He will be incredibly missed by all who knew him.

On May 30, 2023, at the age of 60, Rod took his last breath and reunited with all who he has missed over the years. He is proceeded in death by his father, (Ray Adams); mother, (Erma Adams); and brother, (Rick Adams); grandparents, (Elmer & Ila Forbes); grandparents, (John & Evelyn Meredith; and his nieces, (Kirstee & Shailee Adams).

A graveside will be held at West Point Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. June 5, 2023 for any who would like to come pay their respects.

We also want to take the time to thank Michelle Mower and Christy (Rod's hospice nurse) for taking such good care of him through out everything. He adored each one of you so much.
