Ronald R. Mason, Sr.
“Papa Gino”

BRIGHAM CITY/ BEAR RIVER, WY- loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Ronald Raymond Mason Sr, 52, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at his ranch in Wyoming with his family by his side.
Ron was born in Primeville, Oregon on January 13, 1957 a son of Lawrence Kent Mason, Sr. and Loualla Marie Patchen Mason.
He graduated from Box Elder High School and served in the Marines in Vietnam with the Second Battalion Platoon 2069.
Ron married Carol Elaine Trujillo in August 1974; they had three children they later divorced. He married Estrella “Esther” Honor in November of 1989 they have three children.
Ron loved being with his grandchildren, cooking, hunting, rock hunting, and carving wood, an avid horseman. Ron thoroughly enjoyed working on his ranch and caring for all his animals. He worked as a police officer at Intermountain Tribal School until closing of the school, and then he worked as expeditor at Thiokol until retirement.
Surviving are his loving wife, Esther, Brigham City, UT; children: Herbert Allen (Leesa) Trujillo, Laguna, New Mexico; Amanda (Craig) Campbell, Ogden, UT; Jessica (Christopher) Grenda, Brigham City, UT; Ronald Raymond (Charlotte) Mason Jr, Ogden, UT; Sage John (Michelle) Mason, Bear River, WY; Amber Mason, Brigham City, UT; five grandchildren with two more on the way, siblings: Catherine (James) Arnott, Chicago, IL: Wanda Chilcott, Eden, UT: Kim (Roberta) Mason, Boise, ID.
Preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Ella Brook Mason.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday form 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded.
