Salvador Garibay Magdaleno “El Oso”

1973-2020

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother Salvador Garibay, 47, was called home too early following a tragic car accident on November 14, 2020. Salvador Garibay was born April 8, 1973 to Salvador Garibay Garcia and Guadalupe Magdaleno Avina in Mexico City, Mexico. He was the oldest of eight children.

On January 19, 2007, Salvador married his sweetheart, Rhonda Smith in Farmington, Utah

Salvador’s true passion was helping everything grow. He had a special interest in people and plants. He especially enjoyed his work as a supervisor at Perennial Favorites in Layton, Utah with a lifelong friend, Preston Cox. He was very dedicated and hard working.

Salvador was an incredibly happy person. He loved music and dancing. More than anything else in life, he loved his family and friends in the U.S. and Mexico. Salvador leaves a legacy of giving and sharing with everyone.

Salvador is survived by his wife, Rhonda Garibay; his children, Crystal Valadez, Mario Valadez (Christina), Maria Nava, Biatriz Garibay, Alejandro Garibay, Baltazar Garibay, Citlali Garibay, Xochilt Garibay, Tlaloc Garibay, Tlahuac Garibay and his children from a previous marriage:  Salvador Garibay Munoz, Natasha Garibay, Montezuma Garibay Munoz; ten grandchildren and one on the way; his mother; his brothers, Rigoberto, Juan Carlos, Jose Antonio and his sisters, Margarita, Marielena, Maria Esther, and Guadalupe; uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and his mother in-law.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Layton Memorial Park. A viewing will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah with a Rosary and Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m.

Interment in Layton Memorial Park.

Nuestro amado esposo, padre, abuelo, hijo y hermano Salvador Garibay, de 47 años, fue llamado a casa demasiado temprano después de un trágico accidente automovilístico el 14 de noviembre de 2020. Salvador Garibay nació el 8 de abril de 1973, hijo primogénito de Salvador Garibay García y Guadalupe Magdaleno Avina en la Ciudad de México, México. Era el mayor de ocho hermanos.

El 19 de enero de 2007, Salvador se casó con su novia, Rhonda Smith en Farmington, Utah.

La verdadera pasión de Salvador era ayudar a que todo creciera. Tenía un interés especial por las personas y las plantas. Disfrutaba especialmente de su trabajo como supervisor en Perennial Favorites en Layton, Utah, al lado de su buen amigo de toda la vida, Preston Cox. Salvador se conocía entre todos por ser muy dedicado y trabajador.

Salvador era una persona increíblemente feliz. Le fascinaban la música y el baile. Más que nada en la vida, amaba a su familia y a todos sus amigos en Los Estados Unidos y en México. Salvador deja un legado de generosidad de compartir sus bienes con todos.

 A Salvador le sobreviven su esposa, Rhonda Garibay; sus hijos, Crystal Valadez, Mario Valadez (Christina), Maria Nava, Biatriz Garibay, Alejandro Garibay, Baltazar Garibay, Citlali Garibay, Xochilt Garibay, Tlaloc Garibay, Tlahuac Garibay y sus hijos de un matrimonio anterior: Salvador Garibay Muñoz, Natasha Garibay, Montezuma Garibay Muñoz; diez nietos y uno en camino; su madre; sus hermanos, Rigoberto, Juan Carlos, José Antonio y sus hermanas Margarita, Marielena, María Esther y Guadalupe, tíos y tías, primos y primas. 

Le anteceden en la muerte su padre, sus abuelos, muchos tíos y tías, y su suegra.

Los servicios de entrega y entierro se llevarán a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. martes, el 1 de diciembre de 2020 en Layton Memorial Park. Se realizará un velorio de 6:00-7:00 p.m. lunes el 30 de noviembre de 2020 en Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. El Santo Rosario se recitará a las 7:00 p.m. con una Celebración de la vida de Salvador Garibay.
