Sharon Badger Obituary

Sharon Lee Badger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend was born on November 19th, 1944, in Ogden, Utah to Fredrick George Jones and Bernice Rawson Jones. After a valiant battle with the complications of age, she passed peacefully beyond the veil, welcomed home by her Heavenly Father, as she was surrounded by family at her home in Harrisville, Utah on the evening of May 11th, 2022. She spent the last month of her life at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah where she received exceptional care from the nurses, physicians, and staff.

Sharon met her best friend and loving husband, Orson Eldon Badger, when she was 16. Her parents wisely made her wait until she was 19 to be married. Then on the 15th of May, 1964 Sharon Lee Jones and Orson Eldon Badger were married and sealed together for time and eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The 15th of May 2022 was their 58th wedding anniversary.

Sharon treasured above all her family. A mother of six children, she dedicated her life in service to supporting her sweet husband and teaching, leading, and guiding her children. When her youngest was nine years of age, she decided to work for the Ogden School District as a Teacher’s Aide where she contributed to the educational success of students for 18 years. She adored being a grandma and great grandma and attended as many of their activities as possible. During their joyous time together Sharon and Eldon adventured with their family on many vacation outings with their lifelong friends, the Clarkes and Putnams, sharing wonderful memories together throughout the years.

Sharon is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where, along with her husband, they served missions to the LDS Humanitarian Center, LDS Employment Services, and spent three years laboring for the salvation of the dead in the Ogden, Utah Temple.

This remarkable mother of six enjoyed most of all time with her large family, sewing, cooking, and being a caretaker for all that came into her circle of influence.

She is survived by her six children: Orson Troy (Michelle) Badger, Wendy Lee (Guy) Zesiger, Brett George Badger (girlfriend, Tina Bosell), Christopher Lloyd Badger, Timothy Eldon (Christine) Badger, and Angela Joy Farr.

Her grandchildren are: Charity (Steven) Shierman, Orson Caleb Badger, Casey Troy Badger, Tiffany Taleal Badger, Amber Lynn (Chad) Bendixsen, Kylee Ann (Ethan) Mozley, Danelle Kay Phippen, Taylor Guy (Lauren) Zesiger, Joel Wayne Badger, Teagan Kim (Kayla) Badger, and Erica Ann Badger.

Her 11 great-grandchildren are: Sloane Everley Badger, Sawyer Ripley Badger, Addison Douglas Bendixsen, Arabella Bendixsen, Oaklee Kaylee McColloch, Aspen Lynlee Bendixsen, Oliver Dean Mozley, Asher Jay Phippen, Emily Gale Phippen, Kiera Noelle Badger, and Alexia Maria Bosell.
