With a heart brimming with love and a spirit that radiated compassion, Stacie Gwen Morris lived a life that was as inspiring as the woman herself. Born on February 12, 1954 in Ogden, UT, Stacie made an indelible mark on the hearts of all those she encountered throughout her journey. She was a beacon of humble strength and unwavering care, traits that defined her personally and professionally. Today, we celebrate her life, her accomplishments, and the precious memories she left behind.
Stacie spent the majority of her career as a beloved teacher in the Ogden City School District, devoting over 36 years to nurturing the minds and hearts of her students. Her dedication even earned her multiple nominations for teacher of the year. Beyond her work life, Stacie was a loving wife to Walter Morris, who she married on June 4, 1992 in the Ogden Utah temple. Together, they found joy in serving their community through the church and even embarked on an inner-city mission in Ogden. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stacie lived by the verse, "By love serve one another" (Galatians 5:13), a principle evident in her countless callings and services.
Stacie's hobbies such as shopping, crafting, and teaching were all extensions of her love for her family. She was a beacon of warmth and love, ensuring that her family was at the core of all her endeavors. Her radiant spirit continues to live on through her devoted husband, Walter; and her loving daughter, McKenzie Vallejos (Jose). She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Thomas and two brothers, John and Kyle Roberts. Four step children, David (KeriBeth) Morris, Cortnie (Chris) Eggli, Stephanie (Eric) Larson, Scott (Shay) Morris. 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She now reunites in peace with her parents, William and Agnes Roberts and brother, Bill Roberts.
Stacie's life was a testament to the power of love and service, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her. We invite all who knew and loved Stacie to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page, as we remember and celebrate her beautiful life together.
