It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Tamera Annette Clements, 60, who passed away March 14, 2023, in Ogden, UT. She was born October 1, 1962, to Marcus Francis Abner and Carrie Mary Pacheco in Ogden, UT.
She attended Edison Elementary, Highland Jr. High, Ben Lomond High, and Stevens-Henager College. She married Michael Brent Clements on November 15, 1993, in Ogden, UT and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Tamera was a very active member of her community in life. When her children were younger, she volunteered on the school’s PTA, helped teachers in the classroom, and assisted with the field trips. She was also very involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, eventually going from Den Leader to Cubmaster. After her children grew up, she began volunteering at the Police Station working with her brother, Rocky. Most recently she was a volunteer for Ogden Regional helping in the E.R.
Tamera was also a very successful homemaker. She knew how to make almost anything from scratch, loved trying out new recipes, canning salsa, fruit and jams, sewing and crocheting, cleaning and gardening. She was also very talented in crafting, primarily scrapbooking, but also dabbling in cookie and cake decorating.
Ever the social butterfly, if Tamera wasn’t busy at home, then you could find her out visiting friends and extended family or spending time with her children or grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was to ‘lunch’. She would plan lunch dates with her favorite people and afterwards she would spend the rest of the day window shopping. She also loved having her loved ones over for dinner – priding herself on her famous chili, tortillas, and beans.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband Michael; children, Katreena Carrie (Kyle) Burke, and Michael Cory (Melani) Clements; siblings Betty Clawson, Rocky Gallegos, Larry (Sharon) Gallegos, Yvonne Henderson, Jack Abner, Richard Abner, Keith Abner; and 5 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marcus Abner.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Mt. Lewis 2nd Ward, 435 N. Jackson Ave., Ogden UT, with a viewing on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT and Wednesday from 9:40-10:40 am prior to services.
