Tate Treasure Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce our precious child, Tate James Treasure, has returned to his heavenly home. Tate was born without a heartbeat at 5:14pm on April 30th, 2022, at the Kaiser Moanalua Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. At 35-weeks-old, he was a beautiful baby boy, weighing 5 pounds 6 ounces, and measuring 19 inches long. He inherited his father’s chin and nose, and his mother’s ears and toes. We said hello to him at the same time we said goodbye. Tate remains deeply loved and will always be remembered by his parents and family, who will greatly miss his presence in life.

Tate is survived by his parents, TJ and Kimberly Treasure; his oldest sister Summer; 6 grandparents; 2 great grandparents; 7 aunts; 7 uncles; and 8 cousins. Tate is now reunited with his sister, Lydia Ann Treasure, who returned to heaven last June 2021 at 10.5 weeks old; and we hope he’ll be spending time with his many other family members in heaven.

We are so appreciative of the expressions of love and compassion we’ve felt through offerings of condolences and selfless acts of service during this time, and our hearts open wide to embrace all those experiencing the sadness of loss. We graciously thank so many of our family, friends, church family, work family, and others not specifically mentioned here who have truly encircled us like angels, sending their warmth and Christ-like love. We’d like to sincerely thank the wonderful team of physicians and nurses at the Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center who helped provide a safe and delicate delivery. We are, truly, so immensely grateful to you all, and it’s impossible for us to fully express our gratitude.

A graveside service for Tate will be held at 12:00pm MDT at Evergreen Memorial Park (100 N Monroe Blvd) in Ogden, Utah, on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. Please accept our open invitation to attend. Little Tate's graveside services will also be livestreamed on Myers Mortuary's website. Please scroll to the bottom of the obituary, the video streaming will appear at 12noon and the recording will be accessible indefinitely.

Our Treasure’s in Heaven

 ~by TJ and Kimberly Treasure~

You never had the chance to hear

us call you by your name,

or hear us plead in tender prayers

to speed the time you came.

You never saw our faces shine

as we would watch you grow.

So, from your heavn’ly view, forgive

our tears from missing you.

You never felt our love embrace,

but know our hearts will hold

your memory, tightly, till the day

when we’ll embrace once more.

We never knew you’d leave so soon

in Heavn’ly Father’s plan,

but never doubt He sent His Son

to bring you to us, again.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (NILMDTS) is a charity organization dedicated to providing the gift of remembrance portraits to parents who experience the death of their baby.

We never knew about NILMDTS when we lost our baby Tate. With a small donation, they provide a professional photographer to capture lasting images for parents to remember their precious child after they’ve passed on. We couldn’t be more appreciative of someone, somewhere, who made a donation which allowed this compassionate service to be provided to us at a time when we didn’t know we needed it.

If you’d like to make a donation, please consider donating to this wonderful non-profit organization:
