Terry Martin Smith, 74, of Hooper Utah, went peacefully to the Lord on November 5, 2023, After losing a short battle to lung cancer.
Terry was born on January 16, 1949 to Clyde A. Smith and Josephine Smith in Ogden, UT. After Terry graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1967, he joined the United States Marine Corps. After serving his country with in the Marine Corps as a Corporal, he started a civilian position at Hill Air Force Base in damage freight
In 1972, Terry and Cindy married and had two children London and Trent Smith.
In 1999??, Terry and Evelyn met, and were married shortly thereafter in 2000. Terry’s family grew by gaining his stepdaughter Michelle.
Terry was such a talented person. He wrote his own music, built experimental helicopters out of his shop, and then sold them. He LOVED prospecting for gold. Terry enjoyed learning and reading about science fiction and UFOs. He was the king of telling jokes and was always excited when he had a new audience to tell them to!
Terry was a loving husband, father, son, Grandfather, and uncle to his family. Terry knew no stranger and shared his life with many friends and acquaintances at work and in life.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years Evelyn Lee Smith of Hooper, UT; Children, London Smith of Ogden, UT., Trenton Smith of Ogden, UT., Michelle Matthews of New Bern, NC (Seth) Grandchildren; Nataleah Smith, Lovelle Skoglund, Zachary Matthews
Services will be held at Myers Mortuary 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy UT 84067. Friday, November 10, 2023, 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held, Thursday, November 9, 2023 5-7 PM and prior to the services 9:00-10:45 AM.
