Thomas Blake Harding
February 9, 1934 ~ April 12, 2019

Thomas passed away at the age of 85, on April 12, 2019. He was born in Franklin Idaho, a son of Alonzo Hazelton and Margaret Rue Larsen Harding. Thomas grew up in Idaho and went to school in Preston Idaho. Thomas married his love of his life, JoAnn Casper on February 21, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 51 years. She passed away October 9, 2008.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and attended the North Ogden 15th Ward. After that he moved into the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. He served as a Ward Missionary, and had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was always ministering to his neighbors.

Thomas joined the U.S. Army on March 7, 1957. His first Assignment was at Ft. Douglas. He was then deployed to Germany. He was discharged March 3, 1959.

He enjoyed small engine repair. He was called the Fix it Man. He loved gardening and motorcycles. He spent countless hours making his yard beautiful. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 37 years. He was a Maintenance man at the Christopher Village for many years. He then retired to his dream job at Plain City Landfill. JoAnn didn’t particularly like this job as he brought home many treasures, but she was always supportive.

He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Casper Harding; daughter Connie Dantz; grandson Bryce Alonzo Miller; 6 siblings, Anna Barlow, Norma Szymanski, DeWayne Harding, Carol Bair Harmer, Margaret Meek and Spencer Harding.

Special Thanks to all the Bristol Hospice Staff and especially his “Buddy” William, Tiffany his nurse and Ellie his favorite aide. Another special thanks to the
