Vicki Lynn Lowery passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, in Brigham City surrounded by her family.
Vicki Lynn was born to Stuart and Wilma Johnston in Denver, Colorado on April 26, 1947. Her family moved to Brigham City in 1959 where she graduated from Box Elder High School with the Class of 1965. She attended the University of Utah for a short time where she met her best friend Susan (Paul) Neilson.
On December 8, 1973, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Lowery, in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They had two incredible sons, Brian William (Alysia) and Adam Stuart (Victoria & Terek).
Vicki Lynn was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Brigham City. She served many roles at her church including preparing the Sunday morning bulletin, helping out with numerous church functions, and as the head of the altar guild.
She took a lot of pride in the 25+ years she worked as a legal secretary. She began her career working with Craig Simper, with the majority of her career spent with Jon Bunderson and Roger Baron.
Vicki Lynn enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved her Sunday breakfast and drives to Malad for lottery tickets with Bob, traveling with friends and family, concerts and shows, going to lunch with the girls, salon days, playing cards and board games, Friday night clam chowder and movies, boating at Bear Lake and Lake Powell, Thanksgiving at Leslie’s, Christmas at Adam’s, and she could spend hours visiting with loved ones. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Vicki found a friend in her. Her door was always open for anyone to pop in for a few minutes or to stay all day. She welcomed all with open arms and made everyone close to her feel loved, included, and comforted.
She is survived by her two sons, her sisters Valerie Robinson and Leslie Johnston (Lance), her brother Charlie (Barbara) Johnston, and many wonderful nieces and nephews and their spouses. As well as her dog Maizie who was always waiting for her chicken nuggets when her momma returned home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her parents Stuart and Wilma Johnston.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Springs, the doctors and nurses at the Brigham City Community Hospital, and Dr. John Markeson for their compassion and care.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00pm at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 589 South 200 East in Brigham City.
An interment in the Brigham City Cemetery will follow the memorial service. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband Bob as she wished.
