It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vivian Kay Benna, a talented, spirited, loving, and witty woman who brought joy and light to all those who knew her. Born on April 27, 1941, in Ogden, UT, Vivian spent her life in Ogden and Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, where she devoted herself to her family and home. She married Leo Benna in Ogden and they were blessed with five children. On May 12, 2023, Vivian left this world surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Vivian Benna was a true artist at heart, with a passion for drawing and crocheting, often creating beautiful gifts for her family and friends. She worked at Sears for many years. As a homemaker, Vivian took great pride in nurturing her loved ones and creating a warm, inviting environment for all who entered her home. Her great-grandchildren adoringly called her "Grama-Grama," and she took immense joy in their company. Vivian's witty charm and spirited personality will always be remembered and treasured by those who knew her.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed being a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She enjoyed serving as a Primary Teacher and in the Relief Society.
Vivian is survived by her loving daughters, Debbie (Tim) Woodworth, Stacey (James Flowers) Benna, Shelley (Curits) Owen, a son, Jeffery (Marcy) Benna, 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother, Larry (Julie) Larsen, Judy (Roger) Stokes, and Nancy (Steven) Ray.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Benna, her father, Ervin Larsen, and her mother, Antonia Larsen, a son, Cliff, and four brothers, Gary, Bill, Kenneth, and David.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 11:00-12:00 pm at Marriott-Slaterville Pioneer Ward in Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, 84404. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah, 84404.
