William (Bill) Barber Obituary

In the grand tapestry of existence, few threads shine as brightly as that of William Harold Barber, affectionately known as Bill. Born on October 23, 1940, in the city of Glendale, CA, Bill's journey was a symphony of creativity, bravery, and adventure. An artisan by trade and a renegade by nature, Bill danced through life with strokes as bold and vibrant as his artwork. From the city of Glendale, CA, to the serene vistas of Eden, UT, where he and his cherished wife Janice made their home for the past 22 years. His path was as rich as the canvases he painted.

Bill embodied the spirit of a Renaissance soul. He was an artist, a seeker of treasures, a wrangler of horses, a cowboy under the sun, a sailor on the open seas, and a navigator through life's myriad of challenges. His roles were as diverse as they were plentiful - from Prop Master to Actor, Art Director to Wrangler, Assistant Director to Award-Winning Producer. Renowned for his boundless imagination and creative brilliance, Bill was adorned with accolades, from first-place paintings to sculpture triumphs at various prestigious shows. But his true masterpiece was the life he crafted, fueled by an insatiable thirst for adventure.

Bill's faith was as unwavering as his spirit. He found solace and strength in his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his devotion to God was the cornerstone of his life. A true patriot, Bill loved his country with every fiber of his being, honoring its ideals and defending its freedoms.

In the words of John Wayne, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." Bill's courage and adventurous spirit were only rivaled by the vastness of his heart. At the center of his universe stood his beloved wife of 62 years, Janice, their six children - Brian, Scott, Mike, Jesse, Heather, and Justin - along with his brother John Barber, and a constellation of cherished grandchildren. His love radiated far beyond his own kin, embracing all who had the privilege of crossing his path. Bill was a towering figure, revered and adored by those who knew him. His life epitomized Mark Twain's wisdom: "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." Bill discovered his purpose and etched his legacy into the fabric of this world.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Julius Barber, along with many other family members. Yet, his legacy lives on, a beacon guiding those he left behind.

We warmly invite you to share your memories and snapshots of Bill on his memorial page. Let us come together in celebration of his life, weaving tales of shared moments that keep his spirit ablaze in our hearts.
