Obituary

Eliza Jane (Wongan) Brown
March 22, 1924 - March 6, 2018

Liza was born in Washakie, Utah to Warren and Mamie Wongan on March 22, 1924. She passed away peacefully while recovering from a fall on March 6, 2018. Auntie Liza never had any children of her own, but she was an aunt to all that knew her. She was feisty and loving, always asking how everyone else was doing despite her own difficulties.

In her younger years Liza was a talented bead worker, making many museum quality pieces. She also loved to crochet and created many beautiful afghans and doilies. Liza was a member of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation and tried to attend the tribal Christmas party and the Bear River Massacre Memorial each year.

Her beautiful smile will be deeply missed. Liza is survived by her sister Lillian Ellis and many nieces and nephews, special friend Jeff Roberts. Preceded in death by her husband Dee Brown, parents, infant sister, brother Clifford and sister Ivy.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 13th at the Ogden City Cemetery, east side.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
