Forest “Frosty” Marvin Clifton, 82, passed away June 3, 2018 at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. Frosty was born June 12, 1935 in Collbran, Colorado to Grace Sanders and J. Frank Clifton. He attended Plateau Valley High School, Industrial Training Institute and Walla Walla College. Frosty honorably served in the U.S. Army and Reserves from 1955 to 1963.

He was raised on a ranch in Collbran, Co where he learned to work hard, play hard, make do with what you had and fix most anything along the way.

Frosty married Carol Hawkins in 1956; they later divorced, He married Lucy Love in 1978, she preceded him in death in 2002.

Frosty graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and accepted a position at Hill AFB as a civilian employee working on the F-4 Phantom II. He was very proud of his work which took him around the world.

When he retired, Frosty built he and Lucy’s dream home in Middleton, ID where he lived for 25 years. He was a perfectionist in anything that he did which is why it took him 10 years to build his home, but it was beautiful. He was always available to help anyone that needed something fixed - again to perfection, better than it was before.

He loved to dance. Frosty and Lucy could dance the western swing faster than anyone and each step and swing was precise. It was so fun to watch.

He loved to ski and taught his family to ski. Frosty skied many mountains around the world, but his favorites were in Utah and Colorado.

Frosty was a little social butterfly. He loved to play practical jokes and make you laugh. He didn’t do well sitting still, he was much happier and stayed awake if he was doing something. He loved his large extended family and looked forward to any time spent visiting with them. He missed his friends in the Boise area when he moved back to Utah.

Frosty was active in the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

Frosty is survived by his twin sister Faith M. Kenney; six sons, Randy (Stephanie), Robin, Roger, Ralph (Leslie), Rick Clifton, Eric Reed and daughter, Julie (David) Earl; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Raquel; wife Lucy; parents; sisters ImaJean, Orda; and brothers Rex, Whitey, Clell and Skip.

The family would like to thank the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home, Bristol Hospice of Utah; they are loving, caring Angels on earth.

Services will be at a later date in Collbran, Colorado.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
