Obituary

George Arthur “Buster” Page, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2018 surrounded by his family after a short intense illness.
He was born on November 30, 1936 to George Bowden and Cora Jeanettie Shelton Page in San Angelo, TX. He spent his childhood years on a small farm in Texas. He graduated from Gustine High School and attended Tarleton State University.
In the mid 1950’s he joined the United States Air Force and was Stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Shortly after his move to Utah he met Edith Lofthouse, they were married on December 28, 1956. They raised three daughters Cindy, Ronda, and Sally. Their family was later sealed in the Logan Temple. Edith passed away September 30, 2000.
He worked for the Driver’s License Division as an Examiner and retired as a supervisor.
When George was a young father he converted to the LDS Faith and was a steadfast member quietly serving in a variety of callings.
George was fortunate to find a second sweetheart in his lifetime, he married Zelma C. Nelson on April 11, 2001 in the Logan Temple. He was so happy to add three additional children to his family, Randy, Shelley, and Patti. They had 17 years of a wonderfully blended family, full of love and support.
George was proud to be a Vietnam Veteran and continued to serve with the local veterans group. He was an active church member serving as a Boy Scout Leader, in the bishopric, as a family history specialist, and a faithful home teacher.
Survived by his sweetheart Zelma, children: Cindy (Jim) Gardiner; Ronda Page; Randy E. (Sharrie) Nelson; Shelley (Mike) Olsen; Patti (Roy) Shaffer; Sally (G. Budd) Allen; 26 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren with three on the way; one great-great-grandchild. Also, siblings: Nancy (Jimmie) Allen and Patti (Charlie) Beaty.
